Trip to CERN

We're going to Switzerland.

We are going to visit one of the largest and most advanced scientific facilities on the planet, CERN.

An exclusive 3-day lightning trip.

This exclusive trip is possible thanks to the efforts of an internal contact at CERN. This means that, apart from the requested public visit to CERN, which includes the LHC CMS detector, the historic Synchrocyclotron (SC), the Atlas Visitor Center (AVC) -- LHC ATLAS detector control room, the Science Gateway ( Museum), and a Science Show, we have applied for a private visit to the "Antimatter Factory" (AD), the linear accelerator (LINAC2), the radioactive beam production facility (ISOLDE ) and the Low Energy Ion Ring (LEIR). We are also working to receive some astrophysical talks from CERN researchers.

The visit will be given in Spanish although the Museum and Science shows are in English.

  • IMPORTANT NOTES:
    1. The first thing is your safety. Children under 16 years of age, pregnant women, or people with implants or medical devices sensitive to magnetic fields cannot come to this trip. Remember that CERN is a scientific but also an industrial facility and the instruments we are going to visit make use of intense magnetic fields. If you have questions about implants, consult your doctor. If you can have an MRI with them, there should be no problem since the magnetic field intensity you could be exposed to during the visit is equivalent.

  • If, due to your nationality, you need to apply for an entry visa to Switzerland, make sure you arrange it in time. We will not be responsible if you cannot enter the country for reasons beyond our control.
